Chi-Slam Club was first opened at Daley Bicentennial Plaza, part of the Chicago Park District, since 2004.

The club was started by friends who loved table tennis and came to play during lunch time and after work. As more people came to play, seasonal tournaments were started, a commissioner was picked and a successful Chicago table tennis club was on its way.

Ardy S. Taveerasert became the new Chi-Slam TTC commissioner in 2006. He has been playing table tennis since he was 8 years old and still loves the game.

“Table tennis is like playing chess and running at the same time. For a long time, I had a dream of having my own club and since I have become the commissioner, that dream is now a reality.” -- Ardy S. Taveerasert
Ardy has set up goals to achieve a higher standard for the club and to make it one of the best in the nation.
